Flyzzard (Jeremy Flynn) first embraced his love affair with electronic music back in year 2000. After his move to Fredericton in 2003, he started getting more familiar with the dance music scene and decided that he wanted to pursue DJ'ing. At this time he had always thought of DJs as some sort of "secret society" that he wanted to gain membership to. Since he had always enjoyed music of many genres and forms, and wanted to get more from music than simply an auditory experience, this seemed like the logical step for him.
Working at the legendary "Taproom Open Decks Sundays" really helped Flyzzard to gain experience playing in front of crowds and on bigger sound systems. His first official big show was in 2005 at the now retired After Dark afterhours, and has since played at various events such as "Nite Lite" alongside the FreeStylers, as well as numerous club nights around the Maritimes. Recognized for his rising talents and influence in the Maritime electronic music scene, Flyzzard is one of the more recently recruited members of the Ultrasound Collective.
Flynn's major influences stem from big house music acts such as Daft Punk, DJ Dan, Mark Farina, and Dimitri from Paris. His early inspiration also stems from local Maritime DJs such as Funkdub, Dale Manette, and Soundsyster. Although his style is constantly evolving, it remains very much grounded in the land of funk.
